Organizational Development Consultants

 

Jodi Gentry, Associate Director, Human Resource Services

With close to 20 years of organizational development and human resource services experience, Jodi is responsible for the Training and Organizational Development team. Jodi regularly speaks to local, regional, and national groups about teamwork, management and leadership, communication strategies, and other related topics. She is an experienced meeting facilitator and also is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. Jodi has a Master of Arts in Mass Communication from the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications. Her Bachelor of Arts is in English, which she received from Berea College in Kentucky.

Bryan Garey, Assistant Director, Human Resource Services

Bryan Garey has almost 15 years of professional training and consulting experience. Currently the Assistant Director in Human Resource Services, Bryan provides personal and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff and works with teams on organizational development initiatives.

Bryan has a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Magna Cum Laude) from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. A native of Baltimore, Bryan has spent the last 20 years working as a professional actor and director, educator, and Human Resources professional. He is certified as a Professional in Human Resources through the Society of Human Resources Management.

Bob Parks, Manager, Training & Organizational Development

Currently the training manager for Training and Organizational Development, Bob Parks has more than 10 years teaching, professional training, and consulting experience. He has worked in both the university and corporate environments.

Bob currently manages the myUFL training team; leads workshops on management skills, communication strategies, and related topics; and provides organizational development services to departments and work units across campus. His organizational development projects have included designing and facilitating strategic planning processes and retreats, performing departmental assessments, and developing competency models.

Bob earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies from Boston University, a Master of Divinity from Yale University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University.

Ruth Hernandez, Coordinator, Training & Organizational Development

Ruth is a part-time member (20 hours per week) of the training and development team. With a broad base of experience in human resources, instructional development, process improvement, and workforce management, she provides training in the strategic areas of change management, project management, and time management. In the communications area, she also provides training in business writing and communicating assertively. Ruth has a B.S. and M.S. from Murray State University in Kentucky and has done post-graduate work at Loyola College in Baltimore, Bowie State University, and the University of Maryland.

Heather Adams, Training & Organizational Development

Heather has spent more than six years working in private, non-profit, and educational systems that focused on experiential training methods to improve personal and professional communities. Her work with organizations includes facilitating sessions to improve communication among team members as well as an overall enhancement of team function through conflict resolutions skills, customer service, and gaining a better understanding of relationship dynamics. Heather has a B.A. from Eckerd College in Florida.
