What sets UF Training and Organizational Development’s approach apart?
There are multiple options for leadership training, on campus and around the country. This initiative, now entering its second year, does not intend to compete with those options. Instead, this effort intends to provide a UF-specific approach each year to 15-20 recognized “star” achievers at the assistant director level and above, including faculty in leadership positions. The approach, developed and coordinated by UF Training & Organizational Development, provides content that is targeted to the specific strategy and direction of UF.
Cost is also a factor that sets this approach apart. Most programs run over the course of several days or up to a week and range from $2,500 to $5,000. Travel time and costs are usually part of the equation too.
Using UF facilitators and UF resources, four quarterly offerings, including venues and meals, cost only $1,000. The cost savings is significant, especially given the breadth of the year-long experience and access to UF leaders.
