Annual benefits Open Enrollment ends October 22benefits chalk board

Benefits-eligible UF employees have until 6 p.m. on October 22 to make changes to their state- and UF-sponsored benefits plans if they so wish.  People First (PF) will mail confirmation statements during the week of October 25-29 to those who made changes during the Open Enrollment period.

Sick Leave Pool open enrollment runs
throughout October

Qualifying University of Florida employees may sign up for the Sick Leave Pool during its Open Enrollment period from October 1 to 31. All applications must be received by the Sick Leave Pool administrator by 5 p.m. on October 31.

Deadline for Higher Education Opportunity (HEO) scholarship applications is November 1
The University of Florida’s Higher Education Opportunity (HEO) provides children of full-time TEAMS employees with the opportunity of tuition assistance for an undergraduate education at the University of Florida.

UF Academy participants selected
Training and Organizational Development is pleased to announce the selection of the 2010-2011 UF Academy class! Entering its ninth year, the UF Academy is a 10-month program designed to help emerging leaders gain a broad, informed perspective about the university as they develop their own leadership skills.

December leave cash-out period is November 12-25
TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave—regardless of FTE—during the pay period of November 12-25, provided 40 hours of vacation leave remain on balance after the end of that pay period. If eligible, you will receive the cash-out payment in your December 3 paycheck.

RecSports membership offers expanded hours,

The Department of Recreational Sports is now offering University of Florida faculty and staff the opportunity to sign up for a RecSports Membership through payroll deduction.

UFPD officers honored for outstanding service
On Thursday, September 9, the University of Florida Police Department (UFPD) held its annual awards banquet. During the ceremony, three individuals from the community were recognized for their outstanding service to the police department and efforts that go above and beyond normal duties.
