New dependent documentation required for state-sponsored health plans
If you added new dependents to your state-sponsored plans during the benefits Open Enrollment period, or if you have not previously submitted documentation that was requested in the past, People First will be auditing its enrollments based on two new requirements:
Need some extra cash for the holidays?
TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave—regardless of FTE—during the pay period of November 12 to 25, provided 40 hours of vacation leave remain on balance after the end of that pay period. If eligible, you will receive the cash-out payment in your December 3 paycheck.
New guide designed to help in the event of employee distress
UF’s Helping Employees in Distress Resource Guide is a new publication now available online—and soon to be available in hard copy—designed to explain how UF employees who encounter disruptive or troubled co-workers can go about obtaining assistance.
Employee Education Program accepting applications for spring semester
The Employee Education Program (EEP) is a popular benefit available to eligible UF faculty and staff. The program provides tuition assistance for up to six credit hours of eligible college-level courses per semester.
Enrolled in a Health Investor Health plan?
If you enrolled in a Health Investor Health plan during open enrollment, don’t forget to establish your Health Savings Account (HSA). Your HSA can be used to pay out-of-pocket expenses like your deductible and co-insurance now or for qualified medical expenses in the future.
UF Information Technology Awards presented
Chief Information Officer Elias Eldayrie hosted the annual Fall IT Assembly on October 7. The event, held in Smathers East Library, was an opportunity for UF information technology staff to meet Eldayrie and visit with fellow technologists from academic and administrative divisions throughout campus.
