Departments throughout UF are encouraged to plan ahead for their staffing needs this holiday season. If you are in charge of staffing in your area, please read on for important deadlines and details.
How to report the December Personal Leave days
12-month Academic Personnel and TEAMS exempt employees:
Non-essential TEAMS exempt employees and 12-month Academic Personnel will not need to report their personal leave days via the Weekly Elapsed Time screen.
Reporting 2009 paid holidays
Non-exempt employees must report the December 25 and January 1 holidays via the Weekly Elapsed screen using the “HOL” time reporting code. Exempt employees should only report the holidays if the schedule for the workweek in which the holiday falls has been otherwise altered.
Benefits transactions for January 2010 must be completed by December 8
All benefits enrollments, changes, and premium payments to take effect January 1 must be received by University Benefits by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8.
This year, vacation leave conversion will take place at the end of the December 25, 2009, to January 7, 2010 pay period.
Before the New Year begins, please review any changes you made during the fall benefits Open Enrollment period.
More than 12,500 UF employees have already consented to receive their W-2 electronically through the myUFL system.
Leave Administration encourages early time and leave entry throughout the holiday season.
The Employee Education Program (EEP) is a popular benefit available to eligible UF faculty and staff. The program provides tuition assistance for up to six credit hours of eligible college-level courses per semester.
Year-to-date pay information available through January 7
UF employees' last paychecks for the 2009 calendar year will be issued on December 31 and will be for the pay period of December 11 through December 24, 2009.
