"Preventing Sexual Harassment" training now available online
In recent years, University of Florida employees have been encouraged to attend a half-day Mini-Conference on Sexual Harassment (course number GET 119) as part of their orientation to the university’s policies and procedures. But last week, Human Resource Services introduced a new online “Preventing Sexual Harassment” training to replace the former mini-conference.

Did you add any dependents during Open Enrollment?
If you added dependents to any of your plans during Open Enrollment, the People First Service Center requires dependent documentation.

December leave cash-out period is Nov. 14-27
UF TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave—regardless of FTE—during the pay period of November 14 to 27, provided 40 hours of vacation leave remain on balance after the end of that pay period.

Workshop designed to address campus and community safety
Given the growing concern about personal safety in the workplace and the community, Human Resource Services, in collaboration with the University Police Department and the UF Counseling Center, will be holding two workshops this fall titled “Safe Campus, Safe Community: Creating a Violence-Free Workplace.”

ORP participants switching to FRS encouraged to submit paperwork soon
Throughout the past year, eligible SUSORP participants were given the opportunity to make a switch to the Florida Retirement System if they so elected.

EEP now accepting applications for spring semester
The Employee Education Program (EEP) is a popular benefit available to eligible UF faculty and staff. The program provides tuition assistance for up to six credit hours of eligible college-level courses per semester.

Vacation leave conversion slated for January 8
This year, vacation leave conversion will take place at the end of the December 26, 2008, to January 8, 2009, pay period.

Gator Swimming and Diving will host a UF Student, Faculty and Staff Day at its November 8 meet vs. South Carolina at 2 p.m.
