Guns still prohibited on campus

Although a new Florida state law allows employees with concealed weapons permits to keep guns in their cars while at work, the law makes a special exception for educational institutions including the University of Florida. In addition to this exception, Florida statute 790.115 prohibits guns on campus.

Employees should be aware that University Regulation 6C1-2.001, which strictly prohibits guns on campus or any land or property occupied by UF, remains in effect. Please review the regulation or contact the UF Police Department at (352) 392-1409 if you have questions.
