Students must enroll in GatorGradCare by September 14 Students interested in coverage under GatorGradCare for the 2008-09 academic year must log on to the GatorGradCare web site to complete the enrollment process by September 14, 2008. Graduate assistants and fellows may now defer fee payments A new UF policy permits graduate students on appointments (i.e., teaching assistants, research assistants, graduate assistants, and fellows) to defer the payment of fees, such as building, activity and service, and transportation fees. Hiring exemption process changed Positions funded by grant, practice plan, auxiliary, or other sources no longer require an exemption request form prior to posting the position. Sick Leave Pool membership requirements changed The Sick Leave Pool committee, working with Sick Leave Pool administrators, approved a modification in the program’s policy concerning membership requirements. FICA Alternative plan mandatory for eligible employees Please remember that all FICA Alternative-eligible faculty and staff are mandated to participate in the plan.
