Enrollment underway for GatorGradCare summer coverage
The enrollment period for summer-only coverage under GatorGradCare has begun and runs through May 15. The summer-only coverage begins on May 16, 2007, and will end on August 15, 2007. Summer-only coverage is for students who did not enroll in spring/summer coverage previously. Students must meet the GatorGradCare eligibility requirements in order to enroll in summer-only coverage. Students interested in summer-only coverage must log on to www.gatorgradcare.com and select the “Enroll Online” tab to complete the enrollment process before May 16, 2007.

GatorGradCare: Student Health Care Center open to graduate students not registered for summer classes
Graduate students who are not registered for courses during the summer and are enrolled in spring/summer combined coverage under GatorGradCare may still use the Student Health Care Center during the summer months. Graduate students falling into this category have the following two options if they wish to utilize the Student Health Care Center during the summer months:

Short work break process for nine- and ten-month employees
Nine- and ten-month employees were placed on Short Work Break process during the weekend of April 14. Affected employees have a new job row added to job data in the system effective May 16, 2007, for nine-month employees and June 7, 2007, for ten-month employees with the action and reason of Short Work Break. Please review the system to ensure your nine- and ten-month employees' data is accurate.
Time reporting will automatically be inactivated for the Short Work Break period; however, departments are still encouraged to verify that this process has been completed to ensure that these employees do not continue to be paid.

Faculty and graduate assistant 2007 summer appointments
Summer jobs for nine-month faculty and graduate assistants will be processed via a summer job file that will be available to the departments the week of April 16. This file will enable departments to automate the summer jobs, in most cases eliminating the need to enter the appointment in ePAF.

Leave policies updated in March
Recently, the university revised the leave regulation 6C1-1.201, which in turn, enhanced a few existing leave policies effective March 30, 2007. Some of the changes included:
- An employee who transfers to the university from a state agency, state institution, or a state university, may transfer up to 80 hours of sick leave and up to 80 hours of vacation leave.

HRS moving to new location April 23
The Office of Human Resource Services will be moving to a new location April 23. The new building, located at 903 West University Avenue (formerly the BellSouth Building), will be home to all HRS offices currently located in Stadium West as well as Academic Personnel, currently located in Tigert Hall, and the Education and General/Auxiliaries satellite office, currently located at the Reitz Union.
A new HRS Service Center, expanded training rooms, newly renovated facilities, and a prominent location bridging UF with the Gainesville community are just some of the features of the new site that UF faculty and staff can look forward to.

Employees must report 2006-07 compensatory leave by May 27
All special and overtime compensatory leave on balance as of May 17 will be cashed out during the pay period ending May 31, 2007. Overtime and special compensatory leave earned after May 18 will be part of the 2007-08 fiscal year balances.
In keeping with past practice, departments are encouraged to require employees to use accrued compensatory leave prior to the cash out to minimize compensatory leave cash-out payments.

This new section of the InfoGator for Department Administrators will highlight recently updated forms on the HRS web site. We encourage you to always check the HRS web site forms page for the most current forms rather than saving forms to your computer. HRS is in the process of updating all forms on our web site to reflect the new UF wordmark. As of July 1, 2007, staff should be using forms with the new UF wordmark only.
