Addition of ePAF in myUFL improves data-entry for department administrators

In response to campus’s need for a more streamlined approach to data-entry in the myUFL system and in an effort to improve the accuracy of human resource-related transactions, Human Resource Services has introduced new electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAFs). These ePAFs will replace the current practices, providing a more intuitive format of data entry on fewer pages—one to three pages compared to the current twelve. As fields are entered, information is limited within the data entry fields to only applicable choices—thus, reducing the possibility of errors and making the administrator’s job easier.

For more information about ePAF, visit www.hr.ufl.edu/epaf.

UF staff to receive annual appraisals

TEAMS and USPS employees will now be appraised by their supervisors under a new set of criteria: work performance, attendance, customer service, initiative, and teamwork. The university’s performance management initiative also creates a common evaluation period of March 1 through February 28 for evaluations, with a campus-wide due date for completed evaluations of March 31. Employees will be asked to fill out the “self assessment” section of the appraisal form. To review the new form, visit our web site.

Coming soon: More improvements to Time and Labor

Starting in mid- to late-March, employees will be able to see six months of reported time and leave—specifically, elapse and punch time. Reported time and leave prior to six months will be archived and accessible through Enterprise Reporting.

Archiving reported time and leave data will improve the operation of Time and Labor. Currently, the Time and Labor feature in the myUFL system catalogs reported time from the past several years, thus negatively affecting the system’s performance.

Leave balances and paycheck information will not be affected by this action. Employees or departments will be able to view leave balances and paycheck information as usual. If you have any questions, please contact Central Leave Administration at 392-5732 or email at central-leave@ufl.edu.
