GatorJobs training underway; important dates to know

GatorJobs training has officially begun. Classes are filling up and we anticipate training more than 1,000 staff members. A list of classes can be found on the GatorJobs information page.

Important security issues:
Beginning September 18, DSAs can request GatorJobs security for people in their departments. The deadline to request security access is October 6. If you miss this deadline, security will be assigned after October 16 based on the date it was requested.

Critical dates that coincide with the launch of GatorJobs on October 16:

As a department Originator or Level 1, please pay close attention to October 6. Not only will that day be the LAST day which you will be able to post in eRecruit, but it will also be the last day you will be able to edit any existing requisitions. At that time, you will be able to VIEW ONLY your existing requisitions. However, you will still be able to edit your recruitment steps and close your positions up until December 16. After December 16, you will not have any access to requisitions or applicants in eRecruit.

We would like to "carry over" as few active recruitments from eRecruit to GatorJobs. Therefore, there has and continues to be a strong effort to conclude and/or close any positions in eRecruit prior to October 6.
  • October 3
    - Last day for Originators and Level 1s to submit requisitions to core office using eRecruit
  • October 6
    - Last day for core office to post in eRecruit
    - Originator and Level 1 security changes in eRecruit at the end of the work day (to View Only for posting reqs)

  • October 15
    - eRecruit active postings are imported to GatorJobs
    - Security activated for Originators, Levels 1, 2, and 3
October 16
- GatorJobs launches
- Originators begin posting requisitions in GatorJobs

Leave Reports in Enterprise Reporting

In the month of August, substantial changes were made to improve the performance and the effectiveness of the following leave reports in Enterprise Reporting:

  • Leave Accruals, Usage and Balances By Pay Period, Department
  • Leave Accruals, Usage and Balances By Pay Period, Department – Comp only
  • Leave Accruals, Usage and Balances By PPE and Dept Listing
  • Leave Accruals, Usage and Balances By PPE, EmpID

The implemented upgrades drastically reduce the time it takes to create a leave report as stated above and allow leave information to be generated for multiple departments on one report, where this was not possible prior to these improvements. Additionally, these reports are easier to read since they only display an employee’s beginning balance, hours earned, hours used, hours adjusted, and ending balance for a pay period, contrary to the previous “year to date” format.

The navigation to these reports is Enterprise Reporting > Accessing Reporting > Human Resources Information > Benefit Information > Leave. If you are not able to access these reports, please consult with your departmental security administrator for the UF_ER_HRPR_Ben_Leave and UF_ER_UER roles.

Time and Labor Data in myUFL

Since the implementation of ePAF, the Time and Labor Data page (under Workforce Administration) was temporarily inaccessible. This changed on August 18, 2006. Those who have the appropriate security role, including the departmental payroll processors, should be able to view employees’ time and labor information once again. If a change needs to be made, a request must be submitted through ePAF.

The navigation is Workforce Administration > Job Data > Employment Data > Time Reporter Data.

This page allows departments to review an employee’s time and labor information such as how an employee is compensated for overtime; how the employee is set up for reporting time; and if the employee is still in the "dynamic group".

If you have any questions, please contact Central Leave Administration at 392-5732 or email central-leave@ufl.edu
