ePAF training now underway

Human Resource Services has begun training department administrators on the new electronic Personnel Action Forms (ePAFs) that will replace the university’s current processes for entering personnel actions. These ePAFs are more intuitive and much shorter—generally 1 to 3 pages as compared to the 12 pages required in the past. As information is entered, the data entry fields are limited to only applicable choices, thus reducing the possibility of errors. The new ePAFs are automatically routed throughout the approval process—from originator to Level 1 approver to Level 2 approver.

Begin planning for year-end cash-out

Now is the time to plan for the fiscal year-end cash-out of all accrued special and overtime compensatory leave balances for eligible USPS and TEAMS employees.

While a date has not yet been established for the fiscal year -end cash-out, a report is currently available that shows which employees currently have accrued compensatory leave. To access this report in the myUFL system, follow the navigation: Enterprise Reporting > Human Resources Information > Benefit Information > Leave > Leave Accrual Usage and Balances by Pay Period End Date (PPE) and Department (DEPT) for those with the security role of UF_ER_HRPR_BEN_LEAVE.

In keeping with past practice, employees may be required to use accrued compensatory leave prior to the cash-out to minimize compensatory leave cash-out payments.
