Cancer Insurance
Two plans are available: One from AFLAC and the other from Colonial Life & Accident. An individual must be cancer-free to enroll, and the amount of coverage varies with the plan selected. Both plans have a first-occurrence benefit, a lump-sum payment made directly to the insured at the time cancer is diagnosed. These plans also help pay the cost of transportation and family lodging--two major expenses not covered by primary health insurance.
