Superior Accomplishment Awards

This annual awards program recognizes University of Florida faculty and staff who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or to the quality of life provided to students and employees. Division-level award recipients receive cash awards of $200 each, and are then eligible for university-level awards. Eight $1,000 and six $2,000 cash awards are made at the university-wide level.

Davis Productivity Awards

A joint effort of the Florida TaxWatch, the Florida Council of 100, and the State of Florida, the Davis Productivity Awards are presented annually to honor state government employees throughout Florida who have significantly increased productivity in delivering state services and products. The program presents cash awards ranging from $250 to $2,500 as well as commemorative plaques, certificates of commendation, and letters of honorable mention.

Incentive Efficiency Program

Current UF Academic Personnel, TEAMS, USPS, and OPS employees may submit proposals for cost-saving or revenue-producing enhancements through the Incentive Efficiency Program (IEP). The purpose of the IEP is to improve the quality of the university through the reallocation of existing resources or the realization of improved or new revenue opportunities.

Meritorious Service Award

This award is designed to recognize the outstanding service of long-time employees retiring from the University of Florida.  To be eligible for this award, employees must have at least 10 years of service with the university and be retiring from employment.  Employees will receive a certificate, suitable for framing, which will be signed by the vice president of the employee’s area or college and by the president.  

Service Recognition Program

The Service Recognition Program recognizes USPS and TEAMS employees with at least five years of continuous service. Pins are distributed on a bi-annual basis to departments by Human Resource Services and are awarded in five-year increments (5, 10, 15, etc.).

Other Recognition

Longevity Lunch: This event, held annually at the President's house, is hosted by the UF President to recognize employees with 35+ years of service to the university.
